"The first time I remember seeing and hearing David Grier was at the Flatpicking Festival in Winfield, Kansas several years ago, and it didn't take long at all to tell that he was one hundred percent into playing the guitar. He had discovered his calling.

This set of tunes he has recorded is a wonderful cross-section of his musical abilities, and in addition he has recruited a couple of mighty fine musical partners in Tim O'Brien and Dirk Powell. Together they cover a wide range of style, mood, and interplay. In this setting David has a lot of freedom to do his thing, playing great leads, and always, rock solid backup. Good tuning, precision timing, superb dynamics, they all make for great music.

From what I have seen and heard over the last few years, I believe David to be one of the most important guitarists on the acoustic music scene today."
